Three New Maps Coming To The Red Orchestra 2 BETA

If you aren’t aware of Red Orchestra 2: Heroes Of Stalingrad here is a quick summary:

Heroes of Stalingrad focuses on the Battle of Stalingrad and the surrounding operations, both German and Russian, from July 1942 to February 1943 the game allows the player to experience one of the most brutal battles in all of human history. For the first time in a first person shooter gamers will be able to experience WWII from the Axis side in a German single player campaign. As always with the Red Orchestra franchise, Tripwire will aim to deliver unrivalled accuracy and attention to detail, along with gritty, vicious combat in multi-player, co-op and solo modes.

The good news is, if this sounds like a game that appeals to you, there is currently a BETA going on for the game and tens of thousands of players have already taken part. The BETA launched with three maps and today the developers (Tripwire Interactive) are switching the maps around again. The next three maps are:

  • Grain Elevator – the iconic battle site in the south of Stalingrad featuring long-range infantry fighting outdoors and room to room close quarters combat inside
  • Red October Factory – night-time fighting in the factory ruins on an epic scale with infantry and tanks fighting side by side
  • Barracks – a mix of close-quarter and medium-range combat, sure to be a fan favorite

If you pre-purchase the deluxe edition before the game launches you will get instant access to the BETA.  The game itself will be available on 13th September so check it out on Steam by clicking HERE.
