On September 1st, Ubisoft announced that the Assassin’s Creed multiplayer beta would be available on the PlayStation Network from September 3rd to 11th 2011. The beta is exclusive to PlayStation Plus and select PlayStation Uplay members, so unfortunately if you’re not a member of either one of these services you’ll have to wait until November to get your hands on the game. If you are lucky enough to have access to the beta, you will enter the Animus where you will then assume a persona, customize your appearance, develop advanced Abilities and neutralize your targets. Check out below for a brief rundown of what’s available in the beta and a sneak peek of the multiplayer maps.
The multiplayer beta offers access to nine characters (The Sentinel, The Vanguard, The Guardian, The Vizier, The Thespian, The Deacon, The Bombardier, The Trickster and The Champion), three maps (Knight’s Hospital, Antioch, Constantinople) and four playable modes (Wanted, Manhunt, Deathmatch, and Artifact Assault), which are only a sample of the final multiplayer content.
In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary Altaïr on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.
