Rocksmith’s release date of October 2011 is fast approaching and right now is better than ever to lock in your pre-order for the game. Ubisoft has teamed up with Best Buy and GameStop to provide Rocksmith pre-orders with two free songs to help pad the games set-list.
Details: Ubisoft, along with Best Buy and GameStop, are happy to offer two free downloadable songs when you pre-order Rocksmith™. The two songs available will be Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Free Bird” and Radiohead’s “Bodysnatchers.” In order to receive the songs, a valid email address must be provided when you pre-order the game. The songs will be delivered on launch day, October 18. This offer will be available while supplies last. Rocksmith is the first and only video game that plugs into any real guitar and features gameplay that automatically adjusts to the player’s skill level. With innovative game design that makes reading music visually fun and intuitive, Rocksmith engages experienced musicians and those who are picking up guitar for the first time. The game includes a sizeable library of music, from classic rock bands to current artists, such as The Animals, The Black Keys, David Bowie, Interpol, Nirvana and The Rolling Stones.
As you can tell from my earlier post about Ubisoft’s Rocksmith, I am very geeked about this hybrid of guitar tutor and rhythm game. This new deal has given me yet another reason to grab the game when it comes out in October.
