Strategy gamers around the world are dusting off their cow-flinging catapults for Stronghold 3’s release on September 27th. The Stronghold series is beloved by its fan because of its mix of medieval realism and customization in just about every aspect of your Dark Age citadel. Stronghold 3 will now have you dealing with a new day/night cycle, the disposition of your villagers, as well as a new physics engine that will make battles a bit more dynamic. These are just a few of the many improvements that 7Sixty and Firefly Studios has in store for Stronghold 3 players this September.
Another improvement for the series is more of a focus on building an economy to help support your castle, which will go hand-in-hand with managing the moods of your villagers. Make your villagers happy, and they’ll show love for your rule and may or may not elevate your economy; strike fear into their hearts and they can be forced into working hard regardless of their disposition, but may overthrow you down the line. This balance adds a new level of strategy to the already involved gameplay from the original games. Below you will see a new trailer for the economic features of Stronghold 3.
