In 2007, early in the PlayStation 3’s life, a new franchise was started. Assassin’s Creed took stealth gameplay and action to new heights (and eras) on both Sony and Microsoft’s consoles. Since then, a number of games and side stories have hit every platform from OSX and Facebook to Windows Phone 7 and Nintendo DS. For the release of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Ubisoft is going back to basics for their PlayStation 3 release.
Initial copies of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will include a copy of the original title in the package. While there’s no word if the game will be a digital download, on the disc, or simply the addition of an extra disc to the package, a free game is a free game. There’s no mention of an Xbox 360 version; as the original is available on Xbox Live Arcade, this might be a space limitation and therefore implies that it’s on the BluRay. As it’s a special partnership with Sony, there may be an exclusivity agreement involved.
Were you planning to pick up Revelations without ever having played the first title?
