Rusty Hearts Bleeds For Free On Steam

Looking for a new, free-to-play MMO? Not a fan of the spandexed superheroics featured in DC Universe Online, or can’t wait until October? Stairway Games’ Rusty Hearts has just been released on Steam. As the 11th free game to hit Steam, it joins everything from Champions Online and Team Fortress 2 to Spiral Knights and Puzzle Pirates.

Rusty Hearts is a multiplayer online game with fast-paced and highly-stylized brawling combat combined with a solo or team-based dungeon exploration experience. In this gothic inspired world of vampires, half-vampires, and humans, players will be able to unleash devastating combo attacks, engage in a wide variety of epic monster battles, collect valuable loot, and become a unique hero.

Almost as expected, the game is not available on OSX, but is for Windows XP, Vista, and 7 (and probably 8). Players who download this week will gain a welcome gift of 5 Augment Stones and 5 Wiseman’s Stones. These items will arrive from the in-game mail system.

Is free-to-play the focus of gaming from now on? Does it make you want to try a game you wouldn’t normally?
