The long wait for Stronghold 3 finally has a end in sight. After an unfortunate delay earlier this year 7sixty Studios is finally ready to release their new castle defense entry. Stronghold 3 will release on October 25th for PC, almost ten years after the series first started.
With millions of units under its belt, the Stronghold series has been a strong PC series for many years. Stronghold 3 is the “first true sequel to the much-loved original, which sees the return of the franchise’s most notorious enemy: The Wolf.”
Stronghold 3 is being developed by Firefly Studios and will be the first game published by 7sixty, a new publishing division of SouthPeak formed earlier this year. SouthPeak has recently come onto financial troubles, delisting itself from the New York Stock Exchange in September, and is probably hoping to move a couple more million units of the PC title before years end.
Stronghold 3 is available for preorder on Steam for $49.99. If you preorder before the games release on October 25th, 2011, you will receive the first Stronghold for free and an exclusive “Tower of London” map for Stronghold 3.
