Chances are, you use your PlayStation 3 for more than games. A good chunk of owners would never even play a game on it. It’s great for streaming media, listening to music, and was a major spearhead in the Blu-Ray dominance of today. Controlling all that media with a controller would be unsightly.
Sony has announced a new upgrade to it’s current media remote. Titled the Media/Blu-Ray Disc Remote Control, Sony notes that it now allows control of TV and Netflix content. Owners of the previous remote had no issues controlling Netflix, but maybe there’s an enhanced feature. Visually, it retains the same long form design, but most of the buttons have been rearranged with a few presumably added. Only small pictures have been released, limiting the amount of nitpicking to be done.
