Ubisoft Announces Just Dance 3 Release

With increasing popularity of motion controlled games taking over many households, there seems to be a spate of title releases appealing to this once niche market. As a fan of Kinect myself and an avid Dance Central fan, I am always keen to hear of new titles being released that help me to forget I am exercising while adding to my gamer score. Well if you’re like me and enjoy bouncing about in front of your TV, you may be pleased to see the newest addition to the motion controlled games market.

Ubisoft announced today that Just Dance 3, their third offering in the franchise, is now available on Kinect for Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii in North America retailing at $39.99. The game will be released on PS3 on December 6, just in time for the holidays. This is the first time the franchise will be available across the three motion- controlled platforms and will come with an exclusive mode just for Kinect.

“Just Dance 3 is going to increase the Just Dance brand’s lead in the dance category by expanding across all three motion-controlled platforms,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing, Ubisoft North America. “Just Dance has proven to be a huge success across the board whether its teenagers playing after school with their friends, families joining together after dinner or others who incorporate the game into their active lifestyle to stay fit or lose weight.”

For those of you who are familiar with the previous titles in the series, there is a new four player dance crew mode where each player will have the chance to take centre stage with their own specific choreography. There is also a variety of playlists available allowing you to choose tracks to fit your mood. The Sweat mode gets an upgrade with more workout plans allowing you to work out while having fun. Xbox Kinect players will get an exclusive game mode called Just Create, allowing one to four players to choreograph and record their own dances to songs featured in the game. These can then be sent to friends enabling the star choreographer to become the coach.

Featuring more than 40 tracks across a wide range of genres, Just Dance 3 promises to include some of today’s hottest hits as well as classic dance tracks that everyone loves. Check out the tack listing below.

I really don’t understand why moved the release date for ps3 version. Are they toying with ps3 players?

That’s what I thought! I saw the release date was 10/11/11 and I was so happy! But when I looked where to find it I saw it being released later. I still don’t understand why it’s being released later. I didn’t know why I couldn’t buy it in 2 days until I read this and now I’m sad:(

I also don’t like how they moved the release date for PS3 when it’s close to its worldwide release. I’ve been waiting on this game since June and then I’ll just find out that I have to wait till the last month to play it. Really disappointed.
