One month away from release, and Capcom still has details to reveal about Ultimate Marvel VS. Capcom 3. There’s no better place to do it than at New York Comic-Con. We knew of new stages, such as a night-time Marvel New York City, but what about a Metro City ravaged by Days of Future Past? The true highlight is addition of Heroes VS. Heralds mode, which will change up gameplay significantly.
In Heroes VS. Heralds, players will fight to earn and win 100+ game-modifying cards. Akin to Gems from Street Fighter X Tekken or items from Smash Bros., these cards change up gameplay. Cards listed were Howard the Duck and Multiple Man, and it’s not hard to imagine that Multiple Man would duplicate your character for some effect. According to the panel, this mode will be available to all players, but no mention if it meant all consoles or even players of the original game.
Oh, and Galactus? He’s now a playable character, even if he’s limited to one stage, fighting through waves of trios.
Do these additions encourage you to pick up the upgrade?
