PS Vita First Edition Hitting Shelves A Week Early

Can you stand the wait for the PlayStation Vita? Coming out on February 22nd in two models (WiFi and WiFi+3G), the console will retail for $249.99 and $299.99. Still, you’re going to need a memory card, and unless you’re planning on just playing PSOne classics from your PlayStation Network account, you’ll need a game. Sony’s looking at bundling all you need together and releasing the console early, for a price.

Sony has announced the PS Vita First Edition, hitting shelves on February 15th, one week before the general release. Available for preorder, the bundle comes with a 4GB memory card, limited edition case, and the game Little Deviants. Canadians will get the bundle with a WiFi Vita for $299.99, and Americans will get the WiFi+3G for $349.99. Amazon currently has the bundle for pre-order.

Are you going to change your pre-order to the First Edition? Personally, I’d be more interested if I wasn’t forced to have a WiFi+3G Vita. Given the lack of major launch titles for me, I think I’ll wait until the first price drop or console revision.
