Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is closing in on its Nov. 15 release date and the characters Frank West and Rocket Raccoon have been announced to close the set of new characters for this upcoming fighter.
Returning from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars, Dead Rising’s Frank West has been one of the top characters fans demanded before the original Marvel vs. Capcom 3 released. Reports of West was already planned for the game but was scrapped in the last minute due to various constraints. With Ultimate, West brings some of his moves from Tatsunoko along with his own leveling system that can be built up when taking photos with his camera. Although not specified, the level-up system seems to improve his damage and chipping output. His hyper combos much like it was in Tatsunoko are still hilarious as ever.
For Marvel, Rocket Raccoon represents the superhero team known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. This small mammal has many utilities in his arsenal for both offensively and defensively. For the former, he has ranged special moves and a hyper combo that he can create keep away tactics and he has some mobility for some effective combos. To help keep enemies at bay, he has an interesting defensive system using devices including mines, bear traps, and nets. This in turn can help extend existing combos. Rocket Raccoon can also dig underground and try to perform a surprise attack on an enemy.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be available on Nov. 15 on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 with all of the new characters including these two!
