The second of the big two comic book publishers is moving toward the digital age. Marvel will soon be releasing nearly all their comics on the Marvel Comics App the same day they hit retail stores. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait a few months because Marvel is rolling out the day and date digital releases slowly. April of next year is the date nearly all Marvel comics will have stepped into the digital future.
DC comics made this move a few months ago to go along with their universe wide reboot. I hope Marvel follows DC’s price structure for their books. DC’s digital books are the same price as print when they are first released. After a month though the prices drop by one dollar. That means after a month most DC books are only $1.99. Right now Marvel comics don’t drop in price except for weekly sales.
