Xbox 360 Gaining 26 Channels If You Have Three Specific Subscriptions

Hurting for more stuff to watch on your Xbox 360? Want to make the reality of watching Conan on Microsoft’s machine come true? Verizon looks to be ready to help Xbox 360 owners ditch their cable box, but it takes three to tango. Three subscriptions, FiOS, FiOS TV, and Xbox Live Gold, are all necessary to watch 26 channels

HD channels include BET, Cinemax, CNN, Comedy Central, ESPNews, Food Network, HBO, HBO 2, HGTV, MTV, Nickelodeon, Spike, TBS, TNT, Travel Channel, truTV, and VH1. SD channels include Boomerang, Cartoon Network, DIY, Hallmark Channel, HLN, MTV2, Nick Jr, TCM, and TV Land. It’s a substantial buy in if you’re not the standard user of these services, but if you already have them, it’s a nice bonus. If anything, it’s a good start towards making the 360 more of the focus of the entertainment system than before.

Are you going to take advantage of this?
