We thought the character reveals were finished for Street Fighter X Tekken. With four new characters added in the recent weeks, it looked like the consoles would have a hefty launch of characters. Sure, Sony was getting Kuro, Toru, Mega Man, Pac-Man, and Cole as exclusives. Five characters exclusive to Sony platforms (or five less characters for the Xbox 360 and PC versions) seemed a little high, but Sony likely put a little bit of money towards it (especially since Mega Man and Pac-Man are universal characters, not exclusive to Sony platforms, in general). Looks like the Vita version will be the definitive edition, with Capcom having announced an additional TWELVE characters for launch.
From the Street Fighter side:
- Alisa Bosconovitch
- Bryan Fury
- Christie Montiero
- Lars Alexandersson
- Lei Wulong
The PlayStation Vita title still doesn’t have a release date, but with these additions, the wait is explained. Will these six come to the home consoles as DLC or in a rerelease? Could we be seeing Super Street Fighter X Tekken: Blood Vengeance?
It’s a little annoying, as my default purchase was going to be the Xbox 360 version (due to a preference for Xbox Live and multiple joysticks for the console). By the time I get a Vita, this could be a budget title, so who knows.
What console are you going to get the game for?
