Blue Streak, Speeds By To Netflix Instant

Blue streak speeds by, Sonic the Hedgehog! Too fast for the naked eye, Sonic the Hedgehog! In the 1990s, there were three different attempts at giving Sonic the Hedgehog a presence in the animated world. Japan stayed true to the video games with their OVA, but America had two series; one focused on the adventures of Sonic and Tails versus Robotnik and his goofy badniks, and another focused on Sonic and the Freedom Fighters trying to save their planet from the maniacal despot Robotnik.

The latter is the most-critically acclaimed, it’s presence still having effects to this day in the the comic book series published by Archie Comics. While the series garnered a full DVD release in recent years, Netflix has added it to their instant watching program. If you’ve missed it up to now, this is a great chance to watch one of the darkest cartoons to come out of the 1990’s. Not everyone got a happy ending, and Sonic had his most serious fight to date.

If you’ve seen it already, what did you think?
