Next Forza 4 DLC Is The “April Alpinestars” Pack

The next monthly installation of Forza Motorsport 4 DLC is coming up soon, and Turn 10 have just pulled the wraps on what will be included. The alliterative “April Alpinestars” pack contains 10 new cars and will hit the marketplace on April 3rd. Included is a completely random mix ranging from GT racers to station wagons. As always, the pack will be free for Season Pass holders or $7 ala carte. This pack also marks the last of the 6-run Season Pass.

The highlights include the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3 which hopefully will perform a bit better in its class than the standard SLS does, the Aston Martin AMR-One Le Mans Prototype which was abandoned by Aston earlier this year after disappointing performance, the 2011 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S which will bring a much needed refresh to the Italian brands catalog, and the 2012 refresh of the Jaguar XKR-S.

Full Car List:

2011 Mercedes-Benz #35 Black Falcon SLS AMG GT3
2011 Aston Martin #009 Aston Martin Racing AMR One
2012 Jaguar XKR-S
1995 BMW M5
2011 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S
1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE
1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible
2012 Scion tC
1997 Volvo 850 R

Earlier packs introduced the first ever hill climb cars to Forza and it would have been nice to have seen Turn 10 continue that trend here. They mention that AMG made a few competitive racing versions of the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL, which would have been much more interesting instead of another 60s/70s luxury sedan.

It all comes down to personal preference, but I, along with a large majority of the Forza community, am disappointed to see yet another muscle car included. The 30+ already in the game already cover the gamut of the styles and prove a problem for PI and leaderboard rankings.

Check out Turn 10′s post for more info and pictures on the new cars.
