In less than 9 days, the Boston Harbor will be transformed into a haven of geekery and gaming, as PAX East opens its doors to the masses. Your favorite weekly question writer will be there, along with fellow Platform Nation cronies Scott DiMonda and Ryan Strain, working to bring you coverage of all the goings-ons in the BCEC. I still remember how much last year’s PAX rejuvenated me with gaming, and am looking forward to another similar shot in the arm (which might actually break me away from Skyrim finally). So for those going, or for those who’ve always wanted to go to PAX:
What are (or would be) your 2 favorite things about going to PAX?
(You may need to refresh the page to see the poll)
I know, blasphemy, I am allowing 2 answers. But frankly, there’s so much awesome going on at PAX, I didn’t think it’d be fair to try and limit everyone to one thing. There are probably a hundred other things that could be listed, but I tried to keep it to the main things (and I’m sure I missed some obvious ones, so feel free to “remind” me of them in the comments). Personally, I love the atmosphere the most; being surrounded by thousands of people who all share a love and passion for what you do… it’s hard not to get energized by that. I have promised myself to do more of the freeplay areas this year, particularly tabletop; I want to see what’s out there and meet people who are playing these kinds of games. My other favorite thing would be the Expo floor. It’s hard not to get geeked about seeing Borderlands 2 or Assassin’s Creed 3 or all of the other awesome things that are out there, waiting to be played and watched and loved.
So feel free to vote above, and certainly tell us in the comments below about some of your experiences, or perhaps some of the things you’d like to experience (or like reading about!). If I see things here that people want to see coverage on, I will do my best to cover it at PAX for you and the rest of Platform Nation.
A Simple Question (ASQ) is a weekly segment for Platform Nation. Give a response and let the world know what you think; there is no right or wrong answer here. If you have a suggestion for a question, hit me up on twitter @vttym.
