Two weeks ago, I spent six days in Los Angeles. What was I doing there? Well, besides reliving scenes from L.A. Noire, I was mostly making connections at E3 and its peripheral parties. A solid chunk of my time, though, involved turning down ridiculous pieces of swag that I neither wanted nor could ever possibly fit in my bag for the plane ride home. However, there were a few things I did manage to bring with me on my LAX-DFW escape, and I’ve decided to give it all away.
First to go are these two beta codes I have for PlanetSide 2 and Bullet Run. PlanetSide 2 is a MMOFPS built to be the sequel to the first PlanetSide from 2003 where you’ll once again be fighting as a soldier of one of three factions in a global war for and on planet Auraxis. What I saw of it seemed to be very much in the vein of PlanetSide, so it’s pretty easy to know what you’re getting into.
Bullet Run is another MMOFPS that is based around the kill-or-be-killed reality show conceit. You’re supposed to shoot and taunt your way to the top of a pile of fame and fortune, but really it’s about some neat gameplay mechanics. You earn heat for doing well and are eventually singled out for all the other players to hunt down, but you also have some powerup items like turrents and dual-wielding to even the odds. It’s fairly generic but also kind of fun.
Both games are free-to-play and both currently in closed betas (which doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to me for a F2P game, but whatever). Expect at least Bullet Run to go whole hog later this year and a PlanetSide 2 announcement in the coming months.

Bullet Run: HZEC-7G7R-PAEK-NZHH-NNR6
To redeem, just go to their respective websites, enter the beta code on the right, and hit the button. If you get one, leave a comment so we know a bot didn’t snatch one up.
As for the rest of the crap I brought back with me, I’m still searching the interminable depths of my bag for the rest of the beta codes that were thrust upon me, and if you’re looking for the tangible goods like shirts, speakers, hats, and capes, then I’m still working on that. “Working on what,” you may ask? Well, working on making sure there aren’t any legal roadblocks associated with freely giving out these things and making sure where I’m willing to ship to. Anyways, until next time!
