Rodder and I will be retiring from Squad XP and along with us so will the brand that Squad XP has built over the past 5 years. It was fun to do the show and even up to today I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. But I feel, just like any good series on TV or radio sometimes it just has to move along. I don’t know what I’ll be doing next. Maybe something with video or I’ll just start other projects in my personal life.

Wow, it seemed like it was only yesterday when we did a birthday post for you but once again, it is that time of the year. While we won’t put up such the flattering picture like the one we did last year, I did have to do a little digging to find another gem in the Kelly collection.

Pure is a off-road, trick-racing game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Black Rock Studio (formerly known as Climax Racing, the developers of Moto GP and ATV Off-road Fury franchises). The game was announced on February 14, 2008 and was released in North America on September 16, 2008 and in Europe on September 26, 2008 on Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

You build up your ATV adding handling and performance parts and enter in races; you compete against 15 other riders and on over 30 tracks from all around the world. Using Tricks is key in the game as you need to increase your boost meter as that gives you a starting launch off ramps to get big air and pull of tricks and ahead of the competition. Building your ATV is a BIG part of the game using over 65,000 possible combination of parts and Graphic sets to customize your ATV and make it your very own ride.

Single player and multiplayer allows 16 players (including yourself) or AI racers on track to race against you in 3 Game Modes, Race mode is you against a full field of ATVs, Sprint Mode is close up action on challenging and technical tracks, Freestyle is all about the jumps and hazards of the tracks your on using whatever you can to get air off to pull tricks against the clock.

Pure is really the first great ATV game of the “Next Gen” consoles it brings the tracks, tricks and parts to make your ATV fast and pull off some interesting tricks and races. It brings the adrenaline and competition you would expect in a ATV racing game with its huge air jumps, and insane tricks with some great racing on some great environments, each bringing something different to the table.

Pure is a Great Racing game. Not much to complain about here, but with that said here is some things I would like to see improved. 1. The tracks are great, but sometimes is can be hard to know where you’re going and I found that I was hitting a lot of stuff (trees, barrels, tires) which got on my nerves a little. 2. The AI, sometimes I thought the top 5 were so hard to pass almost like they never messed up this may just be me, but I thought it was hard on some races/tracks than others.

Steven’s final say: Overall it’s a great racing game. If ATVs are your thing you would defiantly want to check this out, if you aren’t a ATV fan still give it a try ATV or not it offers some great racing and that’s what’s to be had in a racing game

Xbox drops in price, what’s up with Nintendo, GH: AS Demo is out, we Talk TV’s, I talk about my hands on with Brothers in Arms, Tom Clancy’s HAWK, Gears of War 2, Need For Speed, and much more. Rodder gets kicked out of Best Buy, I get hit on by a Slore (That’s a half slut, half whore) and yes I kicked BIGVIP’s ass in Madden. Wow, what a busy week.
